Note on riding a bike was long time ago recorded in Bali. It is located in Buleleng regency, in the Kubutambahan village and is widely accepted to be a depiction of W.O.J. Nieuwenkamp, a Dutch artist who was the first person to bring a bicycle to the island in 1904. A complete description of a man riding a bicycle with flower petals for wheels was carved on the wall of Pura _ Temple Maduwe _ Karang.
Nieuwenkampf, a Dutch artist who first explored Bali at the beginning of the century. He travelled around the island by bike, stopping to make sketches of the temples and religious events he witnessed. Pura Maduwe Karang means Temple of the Land Owner.
